This course introduces PE teachers to the foundation stone of skill acquisition by developing a core, intuitive understanding of the six primary skill continua that can be sued to classify movement skills. This course should be studied by all skill acquisition teachers whether teaching at GCSE or A-level. The course focusses on both a knowledge of the continua but also the skill-set that needs to be taught to PE students including the define, describe, classify and justify skills that form the core of this topic.
